Global Innovator & Behavioral Health Entrepreneur/Expert
Most of us find inspiration in leaders, acts, or words. But for US based Kevin Miller, it was a tragic incident many years ago that set in motion his journey to reach where he is today – Founder of ReVive BHM
and other Behavioral Health Centers in the US, catering to clients from all over the globe.
“I’m inspired by many things but most of all, I am inspired by a friend whom I lost many years ago,” begins Kevin. His friend was killed by someone who suffered from a co-occurring condition. Perhaps, if treated properly, her violent death could have been avoided. “And therefore it has been my lifelong journey to make sure that her death was not in vain, but to use this tragedy as an opportunity to improve outcomes in behavioral health treatment on a macro scale.”
The Opioid Epidemic remains the worst drug related epidemic in recent history and is the leading cause of death for individuals under the age of 50. In this unfortunate scenario, Kevin’s Behavioral Health Practice has helped save hundreds of lives through Medicated Assisted Treatment and Innovative Technology to maximize Community Impact.
Passionate about leaving the world a better place than he found it, Kevin says, “I want to create a legacy that outlives me. A legacy that inspires others to be the best version of themselves and be great. I am where I am today because I was encouraged along the way by my family and friends. Consequently, this has led me to owning Behavioral Health Centers designed to help people unlock their full potential.”
A Bachelor of Science (BS) from Concordia University and a mentee of the Harvard Business Managed Mentor Program, Kevin has extensive experience in Global Alliance and Business Development, especially in the field of Telecom. He’s equally adept in Management Consultancy. Those who know him vouch for his Business Acumen and Positive Attitude even in the most strenuous situations.
Today, Kevin is the proud owner of a number of Behavioral Health Companies in the US focused on Mental Health Wellness and Addiction Recovery. But the journey hasn’t always been easy. “I’ve had to fight really hard to achieve everything that I have and that fight begins with Faith. If you have no faith, you have no fuel. The greater the vision, the greater your Faith must be to achieve your vision. I support hard work, but I support smart work more. It is the individual who takes the road less traveled that finds the buried treasure.”
A tiger in the rat race, Kevin believes in taking the road less traveled for that is where the excitement happens! That is where Creativity meets Innovation. This is certainly true if the number of awards he’s received is any indication. Till date, he has graciously received 20+ awards for Leadership, Innovation and Business Results, the most recent being the ‘Outstanding Leadership Award’ by Health 2.0 Conference in December 2022 for effective leadership of several Healthcare and Technology initiatives over the last two decades. “However I am most proud of the Innovation Award I received from Johnson & Johnson as a result of the scale of lives that will be saved and positively impacted by its global reach,” he says.
Kevin attributes his success to his life experience, which has taught him that life is what you make it, and it starts with your worldview, your paradigm. Do you see the glass half full or half empty? According to Kevin, you can’t make the shot that you don’t take, and you cannot hit a target that you cannot see. It’s all about goal planning and follow through fueled by your ultimate passion. Therefore, it is essential that people follow their passion, focus on what other people tell you that you are good at, and what you love to do. When you love what you do and and you are naturally good at, you give yourself a greater chance to succeed.
Kevin’s vision, determination and persistence have made him an industry leader. What does leadership mean to him, we ask Kevin. “Leadership is one’s ability to be the beacon of light for those he or she is leading. As a leader, you must be the light bearer so others can clearly see the path and thereby evolve.”
