‘King Maker’ or Global Head for Leadership Talent Acquisition

Most people believe that the ‘King Maker’ is often more important than the ‘King’. The same can be said for Prasad Tataverty. As a Global Expert in Leadership Talent Acquisition, Prasad has successfully found many Senior Professionals their ideal work fit all over the world.

Prasad credits his people skill to his Air Force family background, which enhanced his ability to interact with anyone with ease. His father was an Indian Air Force Officer and mother a homemaker. Born in Delhi, he grew up in 7 different cities as the family had to move every 4-5 years. As a child, it was a challenge to make new friends in every new city, but it also exposed Prasad to different regions and cultures at a very young age.

After he finished schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Hyderabad, he graduated from Osmania University, and started working straight after. His zeal to grow professionally pushed him to do a Management program from IIM Lucknow and he has since worked with many large organisations in India, Malaysia and Dubai before starting Renascence Talent.

“My ability to interact gave me an opportunity to get into Talent Acquisition and though it was accidental, I love this profession for two reasons. One, it gives me an opportunity to interact with people and understand businesses globally, and second, I met my wife as we share the same profession,” shares Prasad with a smile.

Prasad launched Renascence Talent in 2016 with a primary focus on hiring Leadership and Sales talent globally. They had a brilliant start and were quickly recognised for their value driven search practises. Even Forbes spotted them for their contribution in this industry.

“We are not in the game of volume, but value, and our main focus has been to create a cohesive team that can offer the best services to our clients consistently. Most of our employees have more than 18 years of experience in the industry and this allows us to be a strategic consultant who is result-oriented. We are currently working on a new idea which is driven by Data and AI.. this will help our clients towards attracting talent, retaining talent, brand building, and rehiring ex-employees,” says Prasad.

Renascence Talent will continue to expand Globally.. they are planning to have local presence in US and Dubai in the next couple of years. Prasad says this has been possible only because of his team: “The key focus must be to define and share the vision, purpose, competitive advantage and direction of your organisation with your key team members to think of a bigger picture and remain agile to transformation/ opportunities to grow. As a founder, it’s very important to coach the team as a Chief Mentor.”

Prasad also shares his weakness – “Starting up with a hybrid model of products and services was a wrong move and we were quick to realise the same. We took corrective steps and moved with more agility in the services space. This quickly turned into our favour. I suggest do one thing at a time till it reaches a self-sustainability stage.”

Prasad thoroughly recommends the ‘Break The Pattern’ method to boost both your mood and productivity. “I participate in daily rituals like preparing the morning tea, helping my kid with her activities and sometimes cooking for the family. This gives me joy and mostly kindles fresh ideas as well,” he says.

For a leader in the global space, the pandemic could have spelled disaster. Prasad tells us what saved them: “The pandemic scenario has exposed the lack of behavioral skills in most leaders. Finding leaders who can exhibit high engagement levels with multiple ranks within the organisations are not easy to find, but we did. With a rapidly changing business environment, mostly driven by digital transformation, emphasis is on hiring leaders with a greater focus on key behavioral skills, cultural fitment, technology strategy, diversity agenda.. who can encourage innovation at every stage.”

Suave and result-oriented, Prasad has been recognised by many for being an impact player – Top 10 Best Leaders in Recruitment 2021 by CEO Insights; Grand Salute-The Guru Award by Tech Mahindra; Nominated for TV5 Business Leaders Award 2017; Best Recruitment Agency – Global Leadership Hiring by Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2021; Best Recruitment Firm 2020- 21 – World HRD Congress and ET Now; Specialists in Global Leadership and Sales Hiring 2020-21 – APAC Insider Business Award, UK; 10 Most Valuable Brands to Watch in 2020 – Business Sight Magazine; Top 20 Recruitment Firms in India 2018 – Silicon India Magazine.
