A real story of grit, transformation, and conviction!
Jeremy, an influential author and life coach was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. His curiosity about finding the sole purpose in life led him to Iowa State University in 2004, where he earned his B.A. degree in Psychology, minoring in Sociology. He was also a member of the Iowa State Cyclone Hockey team. Later in life, he found himself divorced, and he put in all the work to find the whats and whys of life. He’s worked in retail sales and management for the last thirteen years. His incredible success is all the more impressive, considering the rough patch in his personal life.
Jeremy moved from Des Moines, Iowa, to the Palm Beaches of Florida in 2017 to reinvent himself, looking for more diversity and a new community to root himself. He leaned towards reading about personal development, listening to podcasts, and writing about self-learning. The change began when he started sharing his experience and putting processes and methodology to his learnings which led to real growth. “We all are imperfect but doing our best with the opportunity and resources available. I aim to support expanding our capacity to be with our imperfection,” he expresses. He prioritizes self-care and has a list of practices supportive of unplugging from perceived stresses and engaging in areas that source his life with energy and passion.
Having spent over twenty years working in retail and various management positions, Jeremy has discovered a passion for working with teams and developing the culture of organizations. In his view, increasing market share is the lifeblood of many businesses, and maintaining high service levels is a difference-maker. He loves working with individual clients, teams, and organizations, developing leadership and communication skills that deepen relationships and empower choices. “Connecting with clients and organizations around shared values has been an incredible opportunity to partner with other industry leaders, expanding their meaningful impact in their communities,” he says.
Jeremy is passionate about connecting with the global community to deepen relationships and inspire others to create lives of purpose and meaning in alignment with their values. He enjoys working with clients, holding the space on their journey to discover their ah-ha moments and co-creating practices that support realizations that connects with the root of what they want.
Fortunately, his profession was not dampened by COVID-19. Video calls have expanded the opportunity for coaches to connect with clients and organizations globally. Jeremy self-published his first book in November 2020 and used the Zoom platform for a year to participate in his coach’s training program. Jeremy even used Zoom to work with his writing coach on his second book that same year.
Jeremy believes in the value of goal setting and has his goals list posted in multiple areas as a visual reminder. He even recites them often out loud and revises them quarterly. “I also have a daily practice of reciting my values personally and professionally for the last three years. An opportunity for self-growth would be to ask for help and not reject support. I don’t know everything, and being open to receiving feedback and support has been an area of growth this year,” he adds.
