A Perennial Beauty who has won Hearts with her Charm
Armed with deadly good looks, an exuberant personality and a captivating smile, Tara Sumners is making waves in whatever project she does. She is a British actress and model who has many projects lined up for her, the latest one being Parahuna 2 which is a Punjabi language film that also stars Ranjit Bawa and Aditi Singh in lead roles along with Tara.
Born in Glouster, U.K., Tara studied in South Wales at Monmouth comprehensive and after that, she went into a hair and beauty apprenticeship. But her heart was always set on moving to London and becoming a model. She says “ I had always wanted to be behind the camera! Curious to try the fashion world and a completely different lifestyle, escape the small town I had been raised in and hit the big city, I felt there was much more that life had to offer. I started off moving to India to peruse my modelling career. Just before flying out booking my first lead in the ‘Lee cooper campaign’.”
Her role model is her best friend Simone who works hard and is very established ondividual in Bollywood. Tara feels that she has learned a lot from Simone and has always motivated her to strive ahead in life.
She has worked with reputed brands like Lee Cooper, Wella, L’Oréal, Forever 21, Revamp official, River island, GHD and Superdrug. She was also seen as the character of Helen in the blockbuster movie, Jagame Thandhiram which stars Dhanush and is available on the online streaming platform Netflix. Her first featured role was in Judwaa 2 with Varun Dhawan.
Her love for being and working in films is her biggest passion. She loves the whole set life and being able to be creative in her field is a source of utmost joy for her. Projects that give her recognition in other countries, especially in India is what she feels are closer to her purpose in life.
Her thoughts on love and relationships are she says “I think love is beautiful then when you find the right person, it can progress you as a person.” She enjoys maintaining good and healthy relationships with her colleagues as well.
When it comes to hobbies that are other than her professional pursuits which takes her away from work and rejuvenates her, she remarks, “I love meditating and spas, I have recently completed a shoot in Bali and it’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. I love sports. I love travelling. It’s important to take care of your, body mind and spirit.”
Tara shares her pearls of wisdom that she has learned over her lifetime and would like to impart to the younger generation, she remarks “I would say to the younger generation to never give up on their dreams, work hard and be the best version of themselves. The competition is only with yourself.”
Having amazing people around her who support her unconditionally, fosters a feeling of a deep sense of gratitude as they are the reason she has been able to achieve various things in life.
She proudly says, “Completing my first main role and attending my first premier. Very excited for the future and what’s to come. Also all the love and support I am receiving.”, she proudly expresses her future endeavours and projects.
