Living the dream… from small town India to most Googled actress/singer
The vivacious Anveshi Jain is loving the life most young girls dream of. Born in the historic town of Khajuraho, India, Anveshi made her way through engineering, entrepreneurship, and emceeing, before emerging as a successful mainstream actress and singer.
Her popularity can be gauged by the fact that she holds the title of ‘Most Googled Woman’ with 20 million desktop searches and 10 million mobile searches! In addition, she enjoys a huge social media reach which includes 6.3 million followers on Instagram, 19 million followers on Facebook, and 2.37 lakh subscribers on YouTube.
Growing up, Anveshi’s sole desire was to make her family, hometown, and state proud. “Growing up in Khajuraho, I knew I had to work twice as hard to achieve my dreams. I want to set an example for the young generation, especially those from small towns like mine, that with dedication and perseverance, they can achieve anything they set their minds to. I come from a place where opportunities are limited, but I believe that shouldn’t limit one’s aspirations. I hope my story inspires the youth to chase their dreams fearlessly and never give up on their passions,” she says.
Born with an insatiable thirst for exploration, Anveshi first completed her electrical engineering degree, and then joined MBA. However, she soon found herself yearning for more. She thus took a leap of faith, dropped out, and started her own business. Within two years, she achieved significant success, but her entrepreneurial ventures left her feeling unfulfilled.
By now, she had discovered her true passion lay in events, singing, and hosting. “For six incredible years, I traveled the world, performing and emceeing events that brought people together. Life took a dramatic turn when a devastating house fire accident left me with nothing. With resilience and determination, I moved to Mumbai to chase my ultimate dream – acting.”
Anveshi’s first show brought her immense love and recognition from the audience. Since then, she’s worked on various web series (Boss, Gudiya Ki Shaadi, Who’s Your Daddy) and South films (Martin, RamaRao On Duty, and Commitment). She was even ranked the 2nd most dominating actress in web series in the year 2020.
An equally talented singer/musician, some of her notable music projects include ‘Raataan Lambiyaan’, ‘Kesariya’, ‘Ye Mera Deewanapan Hai’, and ‘Banjaare’. Further, she’s a TEDx speaker, global host, travel blogger, and fitness enthusiast. Her recent OTT projects include Gulkanda Tales with Pankaj Tripathi for Amazon Prime, Tera Chhalava, and Gudiya ki Shaadi (Cineplay) on Zee5.
In the midst of such rigorous schedules, how does Anveshi unwind and strike a balance between her professional and personal life? “I prioritize separating my personal and professional life, ensuring that work stress doesn’t encroach on my downtime. In work mode, I’m fully focused. When I’m not working, I love traveling and exploring new destinations. I also dedicate specific hours to enhancing my skills and writing my book (a passion project I’ve been working on for 3 months).”
On the other hand, unwinding for her is about simplicity and meaningful connections. “Spending quality time with my brother and best friend is all I need to recharge. Sharing laughter, stories, and memories with loved ones helps me relax and destress, gain new perspectives, and feel grounded and supported. In a world of chaos, finding solace in the people closest to me keeps me centered and rejuvenated.”
One of Anveshi’s biggest strengths is that she’s retained the same hunger and drive she had at the beginning of her career. Yet one area she’s working on improving is networking and seeking support from influential individuals. “While I’m comfortable building relationships organically, I sometimes struggle to attend networking events or ask for help from those in positions of power. However, I recognize the value of strategic connections and am actively working to overcome this hesitation.”
Summing up her journey of dreams, she says: “To everyone who has supported me on this journey, I’m deeply grateful. I want to inspire people to stay true to themselves, work tirelessly towards their goals, and never give up on their passions. My journey from Khajuraho to becoming the Most Googled Woman is a testament that with perseverance and dedication, anyone can achieve their dreams.”
