Leading A Life With Example
Kim Bransdon’s unwavering commitment to empowering others, particularly women, to break down barriers and reach their fullest potential has driven her career. She is a #1 Amazon International Best-Selling Author and has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including being a multi-award-winning sales professional, earning Salesperson of the Quarter and Year consecutively, and securing the largest contract in the company’s history. She also led the growth of an outdoor advertising business, achieving over 2000% growth in less than two years and expanding the team from one to 13. Her current mission is a vision to expand public speaking education across the UAE, GCC, and MENA regions reflects her dedication to creating lasting, impactful change.
At the tender age of 11, Kim’s entrepreneurial journey began when she started her first business, selling toffees at school because her mum couldn’t afford to give her pocket money. Sadly, it didn’t last long, as her teacher ended her entrepreneurship abruptly. But this set the foundation for a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship and leadership. After trying several avenues, she discovered that she was passionate about helping others find their path and achieve their goals. Over the next 30 years, she built a diverse career in sales, leadership, and business development.
As the Divorce Source App founder and an international best-selling author, Kim has led initiatives that empowered individuals and organisations to thrive. She has an uncanny knack for identifying opportunities others may miss or take longer to grasp. Today, as the General Manager of Executive Coaching and Mentoring International, Kim is dedicated to helping leaders and teams unlock their potential through tailored coaching, emotional intelligence development, and lasting personal growth.
Her inspiration stems from navigating her own uncertainties and struggles to find a fulfilling path. She has lived through a range of experiences: growing up in a single-parent family, moving countries at a young age to Sydney, Canberra, Singapore, Canberra and Sydney, overcoming her own personal and professional setbacks, from struggling with infertility and IVF, going through a separation, a divorce, the death of a partner, a hysterectomy, and both successful and failed businesses.
Three years ago, Kim moved to Dubai in her 50’s, starting a fresh with no network, no family or friends nearby, in a new marriage, and a new cultural experience that many others in this region can relate to. Having experienced so much in her life, she understands it is possible to find and reinvent oneself, and it is never too late to make a change. Her ongoing goal is to continue expanding her positive impact, and her audacious 2025 goal is to bring public speaking into schools to help build confidence in young people while inspiring individuals of all ages to realise their true potential and achieve lasting success.
Kim feels that her strength lies in her warmth and generosity, her ability to empathise and connect with others on a deep, personal level. Whether through leadership or coaching, she always seeks ways to inspire and empower those around her. However, in considering and reflecting on weaknesses, hers is that she sometimes can overcommit herself because she is passionate about so many projects. While this shows her dedication, it can also stretch her professionally. She has learned the importance of life-balance, self-care and delegation. Kim encourages others to embrace this as part of their growth journey.
She now prioritises her health and well-being to unwind in her personal time and loves swimming, cycling, Pilates, and going to the gym. Over the past two years, she has lost 30 kilos by prioritising nutrition and exercise daily. Recently, she has rediscovered her love for dancing, and thanks to a friend’s suggestion, she is going to try belly dancing! Journaling, manifestation, and meditation when practiced regularly are also techniques that she finds helpful.
Kim describes her leadership style as empathetic yet holding high expectations. She believes in understanding the individual needs of her team members while pushing them to achieve their full potential. She strives to create an environment where people feel heard, valued, supported, and challenged to step outside their comfort zones and grow. Strategic in her approach, she focuses on long-term goals while ensuring that she and her team meet short-term objectives.
Kim shares an impactful message for our readers: “It is never too late to make a change. Always stay true to yourself and remember that being authentically ‘you’ is your greatest strength. Lift others up, especially women, and encourage them to break barriers and follow their dreams. If she can do this, so can you. We can create change for the generations that follow us, ensuring they don’t face the same struggles we have faced. By uniting our voices, we can transform the world.”
