Since completing my thirty-one-day “Full-On Love Challenge,” I’ve been dedicated to putting love into action. You can explore this transformative experience and its benefits in my book, “Living in Love: How to Create a Lifestyle of Love, Faith, Bliss, and Crazy-Ass Manifesting (All in Thirty-One Days).” In essence, during those thirty-one days, I undertook ten acts of love daily to cultivate more love in my life and explore operating from a place of love. Some of these “Love Actions” were directed towards others, some towards myself, and some were simply intended to elevate my vibrational state into a more loving one.
The results were profound, which is why I integrate the practice of active love into my self-love coaching sessions. I specialize in assisting high-achieving women, and seeing as they are “doers,” putting love into action resonates deeply. It gives them something to do but for the purpose of generating more self-love, not because they feel the need to accomplish one more thing to attain their worth.
Combining emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and, when necessary, shadow work in my coaching with the practice of putting love into action throughout the day yields magical results. There’s something inherently transformative about consciously infusing love into your actions or incorporating more loving gestures into your daily routine. It becomes almost palpable; you radiate with a higher frequency, as if walking on clouds. Your heart expands, creating more space for love to enter. I can attest to this firsthand and have witnessed its transformative effects.
If you aspire to experience these beautiful, love-filled days, I highly recommend trying three Love Actions geared towards nurturing yourself. For those inclined to delve deeper into their self-love journey, I invite you to explore my website, www.colindalatour.com. For now, start with these practices and feel your heart expand:
- Hug yourself: Hugging, whether directed towards oneself or others, offers numerous benefits. Foremost, it is an act of love and caring, and it feels great. Secondly, self-hugging is effortless, requiring no time commitment, and can be practiced throughout the day. It triggers the release of oxytocin and endorphins, promoting feelings of security and well-being. Moreover, it boosts serotonin and dopamine production, alleviating depression, sadness, and loneliness.
- Do more things you love: While seemingly simple, dedicating time to activities you genuinely love is often overlooked. By prioritizing self-care and indulging in activities that bring you joy, you cultivate love within yourself and affirm your worthiness of happiness.
- Heart breathing: This technique is adapted from the HeartMath Institute and one you can do throughout your day. The idea is to breathe in and out of your heart slowly and calmly, placing your hands over your heart to focus on the heart centre energy. On the inhale breathe into your heart, and on the exhale, your breath flows out of your heart and through your body. While you do this, you can send love and compassion and healing energy with each breath. This technique harmonizes your body and mind with your heart’s energy.
Incorporating these Love Actions into your daily routine guarantees a surge of love in your life and nurtures the growth of self-love. While the journey towards self-love is undoubtedly beautiful, it can be challenging to navigate alone.
