Growing up, Pulkit faced societal prejudices that led him to question the fairness and equality in society. A pivotal incident, where he defied his parents’ advice about revealing his origins, resulted in severe discrimination during a trip. This harrowing experience was a profound awakening for Pulkit, compelling him to seek justice through the legal system. It was during this period that he discovered the Constitution of India, a document that ignited his passion for law.
Pulkit’s educational journey reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence. He earned a BA LLB from Chanakya National Law University, Patna, Bihar and subsequently enriched his expertise with a range of specialized courses and trainings. His qualifications include a Certificate Course on Medicine Laws, an Advanced Course on Trademark, Industrial Design, and Geographical Indications, Diploma courses in International Cyber Laws, International Cyber Crime, Information Technology Laws and Certificate Courses in Forest Laws, Environmental Laws, Environmental Impact Assessment Laws. Besides the above, he has also received trainings over legal subjects like Anti Trafficking & Bonded Labour, IPR, Anti Money Laundering, POSH and Domestic Arbitration Laws.
Professionally, Pulkit has made significant strides. He began his career as an in-house legal counsel with Trident Group in Bhopal, where he gained valuable experience in corporate law. His transition to private practice marked the founding of Niti Bodh in December 2015, a full-house service law firm with offices at Delhi and Bangalore. Niti Bodh excels in various areas of law, including constitutional, commercial, corporate, arbitration, labor & industrial, IPR, property laws, white-collar crimes, and money laundering.
Pulkit’s expertise has been recognized through his involvement in significant legal research and consultancy. He has assisted prominent figures such as Mr. Ritwick Dutta, Partner of LIFE (Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment) with reports for the Asian Development Bank. Pulkit has represented India at the Third BRICS Legal Forum in New Delhi and was an MCN Accredited Member and Representative Neutral. His contributions as an Associate Member of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Malaysia, reflect his commitment to alternative dispute resolution.
Beyond this, Pulkit, during his final year of university, participated in a fellowship with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan under the guidance of Mr. Neeraj Kumar Bansod, IAS, Chhattisgarh. As a mentor at Pota Cabin School, Dantewada Chhattisgarh, he helped students in schools established to combat Naxalite destruction of government-built schools. These schools were constructed with temporary but sturdy bamboo structures to ensure uninterrupted education and minimize financial losses in case of attacks.
Pulkit’s leadership style is characterized by his ability to inspire and guide his team. He believes in fostering competence, embracing innovation, and maintaining a solution-oriented approach. He emphasizes the importance of balancing leadership with followership to ensure a well-functioning society.
Nature and his parents are his primary sources of inspiration. He admires the harmony and resilience of nature, seeing it as a model for achieving one’s purpose. His parents’ struggles and sacrifices have profoundly influenced him, instilling in him a strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. Pulkit aspires to build a team of 100 strong professionals at Niti Bodh by the end of the decade, reflecting his ambition and vision for the future.
On Sundays, Pulkit enjoys staying at home or traveling to explore new cultures and broaden his horizons. His hobbies include reading and traveling, which contribute to his professional insights and personal growth. During his ‘me time,’ he engages in introspection, meditation, and spiritual journeys, seeking answers to life’s unresolved questions.
