Award winning Leader in Landscape Design
The ingenious Bruce Aleo seamlessly blends elements of nature, art, and architecture to create spaces that are both exquisite as well as utilitarian. A multi-award winning Landscape Designer for over 4 decades, he founded his firm – Done Right Landscape & Construction, in 1980 with the goal of providing personalized customer service, high quality designs, and unparalleled craftsmanship – characteristics that he felt were lacking in the business of landscape contractors.
“I thank God everyday that I am doing exactly what I was born to do – Living a life of purpose and loving and appreciating every second of it.
I believe we are all born with a gift that can change the world for the better. Once you find it, you will be an unstoppable force. If I had only one wish, it would be for each and every person to find their gift.”
Based in Greater Boston, USA, Done Right Landscape & Construction is an A+ Accredited Business with Boston’s Better Business Bureau (BBB). Their employees have extensive experience in all phases of Landscape Design, Landscape Construction, and Lawn Maintenance including new lawn installations, night lighting, irrigation and drainage systems, tree care, tree cutting, tree pruning, hardscaping, walls, walkways, patios, steps, driveways, fences, pergolas, seasonal displays and more.
Done Right Landscape’s growing list of repeat and long-term customers can be traced to Bruce’s work ethic, commitment to innovation, and delivering to customer satisfaction. Few of his achievements include:
- Top Landscape Designer of the Year 2023 by IAOTP.
- Previewed on HGTV, Close-Up TV News, etc.
- Recognised as Top Business Leader by The International Society of Business Leaders, and Continental Who’s Who Registry of National Business Leaders, 2018.

Four decades and counting.. What constitutes Bruce’s success, we ask him. He tells us that ‘nothing comes from nothing’ holds profound truth. “I believe in LUCK only because I know the true meaning of it: Labor – Under – Correct – Knowledge. Hard work, combined with a constant pursuit of knowledge, is the only way to create a fertile ground for remarkable things to bloom.”
Instead of wasting energy by competing with others, Bruce tries to find ways to help others grow. Throughout his enriching life journey, he has gained invaluable experiential learning that he now shares with others through various platforms such as workshops, presentations, and mentorship programs. By openly discussing his challenges and successes, he hopes to foster a sense of camaraderie among fellow designers, creating a supportive community where ideas and innovation can flourish. He also aims to inspire and educate fellow enthusiasts and aspiring landscape designers by sharing his knowledge and experiences to empower them to explore their creativity.
Furthermore, by generously giving back to the community, he wants to emphasize the importance of environmental stewardship and the positive impact of well-designed landscapes on our overall well-being and Earth itself. Since 2005, he has also been President of FloodHelp.com, a 24-hr water damage restoration company.
Today, Bruce feels thankful to God for an amazing life, loving and supportive family, lifelong friends, incredible colleagues, and endless gifts that God has blessed him with in good times and in bad. Yet, what truly inspires him to keep going on? “What inspires me is the stories I hear from my customers, seeing their faces and big smiles once we’ve completed a project. It’s rewarding to know that long after I’m gone, people will still be enjoying the landscaping and hardscaping that my amazing team and I have installed. If you want happiness, then find a way to make others happy.”
They say there is no match for wisdom. This certainly holds true for Bruce, who’s looked upon as a Thought Leader in his industry. Decoding his leadership style, he says, “I recognize that my role goes far beyond simply making decisions and giving orders. Instead, I actively seek opportunities to mentor and develop the potential in others. By promoting a culture of growth and learning, we encourage individuals to step up and take on leadership responsibilities – delegating tasks and authority, allowing others to gain valuable experience, and developing their own leadership skills. Creating more leaders not only fosters an environment of trust and collaboration, but also ensures the sustainability and success of my organization for the long term.”
