Easing young adults into financial independence
For decades, Tanisha Taylor has been making youth dreams come true – first as a banker, and now as a coach. A professional Banker turned Life Solutions Coach, Tanisha is now on her path to impact more young adults with Tanisha Taylor Coaching – Welcome to Adulthood, wherein she helps them create a healthy and sustainable relationship with money and life.
“This is the age that sets the foundation of your adulthood experience. I believe young adults are amazing individuals with the potential to create and define the trajectory of their life experience. When starting the coaching business, I knew it would be for young adults to provide them with tools and resources in financial matters, family, fitness, and faith for daily living.”
Tanisha’s passion to impact young lives can be traced to her own adolescence. The support and guidance she received from her mother in Christian principles has shaped her and her business model today, while her father’s love helped shape her identity. She completed her Bachelor of Art from Baldwin Wallace University and MBA from University of Phoenix. She also obtained a real estate license and certifications in entrepreneurship and coaching. She spent the next 3 decades rising in the world of banking and finance with SunTrust Financial Services, New York Community Bank (NYCB), Cardinal Health, and Huntington National Bank.
It gave Tanisha the opportunity to make people’s financial dreams come true. Her favorite client stories were helping them save money, paying off debts, and purchasing homes, especially the young adults.
This sense of fulfillment saw her establish Tanisha Taylor Coaching – Welcome to Adulthood in August 2022, to solve the complexity of life and provide simple foundation resources and tools for young adults.
While it was a huge challenge to shift industries, Tanisha always showed up as a hard worker with smart and simple ways to make things happen and excelled in the majority of her endeavors. She also had a great leader in her mother who inspired her to never quit and instead follow Christ and the Holy Spirit’s direction in all her plans to experience success with peace, joy, and hope.
Further, she was inspired by her grandfather who passed away when Tanisha was 21. He planted various money encounters that made her wise to the finance part of life. The women in her family also propelled her on her journey as both her grandmother and mother were business owners.
“A family structure demonstrates how unity and togetherness can accomplish anything in life and business. However this is not everyone’s story. What if you don’t have this type of parental support or you have the parental support but you don’t want to listen.”
Thus Tanisha wants to see young adults exceeding in life’s core four – faith, family, finance and fitness. She’s excited to leave a legacy of hope and love that has been modeled in her family. Her positivity is a result of her relationship with God. A result-oriented mentor, she loves helping others reach their goals and cheering them on to victory.
Many of Tanisha’s recognitions today are a result of her ‘Make Things Happen’ approach to business and life. Her greatest personal accomplishment is the motto ‘my life is my marketing from Virtual Coach Training’. She lives by example with words and action, and loves moments of impact.
A versatile leader, Tanisha is the co-founder of Firm Foundation Seminars, member of several boards, as well as networking groups. In addition to being a Coach and Entrepreneur, she’s also a much sought after Inspirational Speaker, Trainer, and Author.
Describing her experiential journey as a scatter-box experience, Tanisha says she is confident in her identity, resilient about her purpose, and out-of-the-box for most of her life. “I’m okay to be different and not follow patterns or trends. I always circle back to my faith and Christianity. This brings out the tiger and fire in me. I’m full of fire for the Lord and ready to spark up this fire within young adults.”
A born leader, Tanisha describes her style as servant leadership: The one who will get in the trenches, the one who will serve others with nothing in return. “A Leader is one who loves people, their vision, and mission, and is committed to the successes and failures. Leaders lead by example and understand their position is to inspire the best in those they lead and ignite the fire in others. Some of the greatest leaders may never be seen by others but they produce great leaders even in behind-the-scenes leadership. I see the greatness of leaders in the motives of their hearts, character, integrity, and humility.”
