Luxury Living: Indian Business Tycoons’ Extravagant Lifestyles

The ever-growing Indian economy is home to several business tycoons and billionaires. As business paves the path for India to grow as a unit, many such business personalities have gained momentum and created their own empires. From luxury homes to several properties in different nations of the world, high-end vacations and clothing, cars and helicopters, and several other ambitious materials, these people have created truly extravagant lifestyles for themselves.

1. Gautam Adani

    The second richest Indian with a net worth of roughly $81 billion, Gautam Adani is the owner of the conglomerate of companies with interests in ports, power generation, agri-business, etc, under the name Adani Group. He owns several properties across the globe, which include his luxurious multi-story house in Gurgaon and an enormous house in Ahmedabad, which is known for its grand architecture and breathtaking interiors. The man owns a Ferrari California, Rolls Royce Ghost, Audi Q7, BMW 7 series and plenty more and is known widely for his philanthropy.

    2. Naveen Jindal

    Naveen Jindal is the youngest son to India’s richest woman, Savitri Jindal. He owns large pieces of land and has declared assets at approximately Rs. 1000 crores, which surprisingly does not include any owned vehicle. His Lutyens Delhi home sits at the heart of Delhi and includes a stud farm as well. He owns a large, well-maintained stud farm and polo ground in Noida and captains his own polo team, which is a testament to his love for horses!

    3. Mukesh Ambani

    With a net worth of more than $87 billion, Mukesh Ambani is the wealthiest man in Asia. Owner of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), his business is deeply involved in petrochemical, retail, digital services and the energy industry. Recently, his son, Anant Ambani’s wedding became an international event where a whopping Rs.5500 crores were spent, and famous actors, celebrities and music artists were called upon. His abode is the famous Antilia, which consists of 27 storeys, theatres, 128 car park garages, helipads, swimming pools, health centres and everything else one can imagine. Amongst his belongings, his cars include a Rolls Royce Phantom V11, Ferrari 812, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Rolls Royce Cullinan, Aston Martin Rapide and many others!

    4. Adar Poonawala

    The CEO of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawala, reportedly acquired an uber-expensive home in London in 2023, which set him back for an enormous Rs. 1444 crore. This nearly 100-year-old Aberconway House is situated near Hyde Park and is spread across 25,000 square feet.

    5. Lakshmi Mittal

    Lakshmi Mittal is ArcelorMittal’s executive chairman, the world’s second-largest steel manufacturing company. With a net worth of $16.5 billion, he boasts an impressive portfolio in real estate, which includes his posh bungalow in Lutyens Delhi and several others in the UK. Mittal is also joint owner of the English football team, Queen Park Rangers.

    6. Kumar Mangalam Birla

    Son to the famous Aditya Birla, Kumar Mangalam Birla’s house is a proper display of a billionaire’s wealth. The ‘Jatia House’ is an extravagantly designed bungalow situated in the Little Gibbs Road in Malabar Hills.

    Spread over 30,00 square feet, a bidding war that lasted an entire day was held to enable the bidders to purchase this vintage property. Setting him back to a whopping 451 crores back in the day, Birla made sure to make it one of the most lavish homes that one could lay his eyes on. With over 20 bedrooms, ballrooms and auditoriums, finished with the finest marble flooring, the house boasts a pond along with a central courtyard as well!

    Among these, Gautam Singhania has a Bombardier Challenger 600, which costs over $21 million and is his most prized possession. As a trained pilot, Ratan Tata has also invested deeply in aircraft. The Dassault Falcon 2000, an exquisite aircraft that cost about $22 million, is one of his most prized possessions, which also includes his Rs.150 crore Mumbai home.
