Meet Indu Badlani, a thriving CEO and Co-Founder of Staffing Expert, whose personal mission is to empower the next generation to take opportunities as a positive challenge. With nearly a decade of experience in the IT-BPM industry, Indu has become a leader in providing customized outsourcing solutions to business across various sectors. Her drive and expertise has earned her various leadership roles over the years. Currently such as the Vice President for Public Relations and Communications of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Phil) Inc.
She earned her International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Philippines and continued her education in the United Kingdom. Indu has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s Degree in International Marketing from the European Business School in London.
As an active member of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (I-WE), Indu is making waves with her Tech2Transform initiative, which is now in its second year. The initiative aims to mentor, challenge and empower women-owned MSMEs in the Philippines, this aligns with the vision of Digital India to digitally empower society and the knowledge economy. Indu has also had some remarkable milestones in her career, including representing the Philippines in various government led trade missions and serving as a keynote speaker at an international outsourcing conferences.
Indu values balance between her personal and professional growth and emphasizes the importance of self-care, skill development and time management in achieving that balance. Indu is inspired by many individuals, Alma Conney particularly, women who thrive in both their careers and personal lives as this is aligned with her values.
Additionally, she believes in accepting challenges, learning from experiences and focusing on the end goal. She recognizes the importance of seeking advice from mentors and keeping an open mind. In other words, ‘get uncomfortable to get comfortable. Her resilience, determination, and problem-solving skills have enabled her to achieve many milestones in her career and overcome any barriers that come her way.
As a woman leader, Indu believes that organizations are supportive of working women and that companies are generally shifting ensure gender equality is part of the culture. For women to achieve a more prominent role, one must seek development opportunities and communicate ideas, in order words ‘get uncomfortable to get comfortable.’ She believes that equality builds cohesive teams focused on achieving positive results for the company and attracts and retains the best talent. Diversity, she adds, brings perspective.
As part of her daily lifestyle, Indu can often be found playing tennis at her local sports club, a passion she loves to help her unwind and stay active. She also participates in various activities recreational and skill development activities. Her focus and commitment, instilled in her by her parents, have played a key role in her success.
She also values her ‘me time,’ which includes savouring a hot cappuccino in the morning or a glass of red wine in the evening while reflecting on her goals for the day and finding inspiration.
Indu’s passion lies in upskilling and providing employment opportunities. She believes that it’s important to keep learning and evolving with the times, and that by providing employment opportunities, she is not only supporting the economy but also building a opportunities for employers and employees. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.’” Indu’s mantra for growth, development, and success is to believe in the opportunities life presents and to go out and capture them.
Indu Badlani believes that the future of work lies in collaborating together and leveraging the power of diversity. According to her, bringing together teams with a diverse backgrounds, experiences, skill sets and ethnicity can lead to the creation of more effective and efficient teams. As she puts it, “turning lean teams into dream teams”. Indu’s vision for the future of work involves building teams that are truly representative of the diverse world we live in, working together towards common goals, and creating a positive impact on society.
