January, The Grammy Awards
The world’s most respected music award, a Grammy recognizes outstanding achievement in the music industry, and the star-studded annual ceremony features dazzling performances by some of today’s most prominent artists. Without question, this is one of the world’s most luxurious events.
February, The Academy Awards
The Academy Awards, or Oscars, are the recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements, presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. March, The Dubai World Cup
This thoroughbred horse race is the highlight of Dubai’s sporting and social calendar, and one of the world’s top racing challenges, with racegoers flying in from around the world to enjoy the spectacle.
May, The Met Gala
The lavish Met Gala Ball is a fundraising luxury event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute, and marks the beginning of the Institute’s Annual Fashion Exhibit. This themed extravaganza attracts the biggest personalities in entertainment, fashion and politics. A not-to-be-missed luxury event.
May, Cannes Film Festival / Monaco Grand Prix
Since 1946, the Cannes Film Festival has welcomed an original selection of international films competing for the prestigious Palme d’Or prize. June/July, Wimbledon

June, Royal Ascot
Great Britain’s premier racing event is Royal Ascot. Royals, invite-only guests, and anyone else who can afford a ticket watch the top racehorses in the world, as well as their wealthy owners and sponsors.
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates’ prime minister) is a frequent attendee. Al Maktoum is an established thoroughbred racehorse owner and stable owner whose fortune exceeds $5 billion. Additionally, he founded the Dubai Cup, a horse racing event in the United Arab Emirates.
July, Jaeger LeCoultre Gold Cup
The Jaegar LeCoultre Gold Cup is held every year in West Sussex at the Cowdray Park Polo Club. It has the distinction of being the most important polo tournament outside Argentina. As it determines the British Open champion.
James Packer, the media magnate who’s worth over $4 billion, rides polo horses he raised at his family’s stables in South America and Australia at the club.
August/September, Burning Man
Tens of thousands of people gather for a week of holistic living and artistic expression in Nevada’s vast Black Rock Desert during Burning Man, which stretches from the end of August to the beginning of September. Dustin Moskovitz, the Facebook cofounder, and CEO of Asana, is a regular attendee. In 2012, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was said to have joined his friend on “the playa,” as it is typically known.
September, Monaco Yacht Show
The world’s leading superyacht show is where visitors meet leading industry experts and luxury manufacturers to discuss new projects and explore yachting trends. Organised under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, this luxury Monaco event attracts celebrities and VIPs from across the world.
September/October, Milan Fashion Week
Established in 1958, Milan Fashion Week is part of the global ‘Big Four Fashion Weeks,’ with the spring/ summer luxury event held in autumn. The shows are set in the city’s most elegant palaces, creating an extravagant and theatrical backdrop.
October, The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
One of the greatest horse- races in the world, ‘the Arc’ is held at the Paris Longchamp Racecourse, and brings together the world’s finest thoroughbreds and jockeys. Of the races, the Qatar Arabian World Cup is the world’s most prestigious luxury event for purebred Arabs.
October/April, Al Marmoum Camel Racing
Deep in Dubai’s desert, this annual championship and most prestigious camel race provides a fascinating and colourful display over the winter months.
