Suki Cheung

A Dynamic Leader with a Magnetic Personality

Exemplifying her life motto ‘PASSION drives Perfection’ Suki Cheung is a highly admired TEDx speaker and trainer from Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific. Currently, she is the Director of CN Logistics International Holdings Limited and is a specialist in modern supply chains and business transformation. With 20 years of experience on hand in the logistics industry, she encompasses the traits that make her a true leader.

Suki completed her graduation from the University of Sunderland with distinction and is also a certified master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming and awardees in Public Speaking, Master of Ceremonies, Distinguished Salesperson Award (DSA) and was also bestowed as the ‘10 Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs from Hong Kong 2021’. She oversees the Group’s external communications, including corporate branding initiatives, reputation management, media and investor relations, digital and social communications, issue and crisis management, sustainability reporting and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The responsibility for business development especially in omnichannel logistics and international cross border solutions, from parcel to freight forwarding to warehousing also rests on her shoulders. Being inspired by the United Nations, she is also actively involved in social innovation and hopes to drive positive social change and resolve urban challenges through sustainable business solutions.

An ardent representative in creating awareness of green growth and sustainability, her company has launched their green projects with government, NGOs, customers and related stakeholders to shape a better world for everyone to live in. With these actions, she believes actions can turn massive complexity and supply chain disruption into meaningful changes. Suki has been part of the ‘RISE for the future’ program in Hongkong regarding UNSDG and sustainability and had also delivered a TEDx speech on the same.

Suki’s public engagement currently includes co-opted member of the Hong Kong Speaker Bureau, ASEAN committee Chairman at Chamber of Hong Kong Logistics Industry, committee member for Asia CEO Community, Chairman for Hong Kong Ecommerce Logistics Association, Hong Kong Business Environment Council Circular Economy Advisory Group, HKSAR Logistics Council Advisory Board, Hong Kong Management Association and Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide, President of Junior Chamber International Queensway and Asia and the Pacific Development Council in Junior Chamber International Hong Kong.

She has always believed that success comes at a price of hard work, shrewd thinking and dedication that ultimately culminates into business success. With the pandemic having tested the ingenuity, resilience and flexibility of the supply chain globally, she feels “As a business leader, we must make rapid decisions to sustain business operations to serve customers, clients and our communities, as well as protect our staff.  We successfully helped our clients transform their logistics from offline to online while co-create business opportunities with brands and retailers through digital transformation campaign.”

For her leadership has a unique meaning which she elucidates that before becoming a leader one should focus on growing oneself. After becoming a leader success becomes implementing growth for others too. The most successful companies that have been instrumental in creating real and sustained value, focus more on having appreciable talent and a culture that caters to high performance. “To achieve deliverables in business results and talent development always stay on top of my mind; especially in logistics industries where males dominate,” says Suki.

When asked about believing in being in the rat race or being a tiger, she says “Being a tiger (at work) to me means helping others as a leader and finding ways to stay motivated and focus. Ones should always stay enthusiastic and have the courage to take on new tasks to compete with yourself. This is how I grow in the past 20 years with an entrepreneurship spirit.”

In her spare time, she enjoys challenges in Trail-walker and Marathons and shares an inspiring life mantra with the readers. She reflects on what ‘Passion’ means to her:

  • Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other
  • Action is the only way to make progress
  • Sustainable for work, life and our planet
  • Success is sweet, but the secret is sweat
  • Independent and always deliver more than expected
  • Optimistic is the foundation of courage & true progress
  • Never give up, nothing that lasts accomplished quickly”
