Some journeys are measured by achievements, while others are defined by the courage to return to oneself. Kim Lackie’s story is one of profound transformation, shaped by resilience, introspection and an unwavering commitment to helping women rediscover their inherent worth, purpose and capacity for self-leadership.

A former police officer, mother to triplets and practitioner, Kim has navigated many seasons of life. Today, her healing journey forms the foundation of her work. Her journey spans law enforcement, motherhood after fertility struggles, years of depression and chronic pain, and ultimately a healing journey she now shares. Kim believes what society often calls mental health struggles, may also represent a deeper spiritual struggle, one humanity is collectively experiencing and one that deserves a more compassionate conversation.

“I found a way to move from pain and hopelessness into calm, purpose and fulfilment,” she reflects, a realisation that now guides both her personal philosophy and professional mission.

Growing up, Kim never aspired to a conventional life. Adventure called to her, and for many years she allowed her actions to speak on her behalf, particularly during periods when she did not feel safe enough to use her own voice. In her thirties, she embarked upon what she believed would be one of life’s greatest adventures by joining law enforcement.

That journey evolved into a distinguished career spanning more than twenty-seven years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where she rose to the rank of Sergeant. Her professional experience encompassed operational field work in Northern Canada to developing policies, procedures and training to support members nationally.

Alongside professional fulfilment, however, life presented profound personal challenges. Following fertility struggles, Kim and her family welcomed triplets in 2006. The joy of motherhood was accompanied by significant change, including relocation for specialised care and increasing isolation. A diagnosis of postpartum depression followed, marking the beginning of a difficult chapter in her life.

In 2012, major surgery further altered the course of her journey, disrupting the career she loved and initiating a decline in her physical and emotional wellbeing. Despite her determination to devote herself to her family, she carried a grief many mothers experience but seldom feel able to speak about. Years of therapy brought little relief, while emotional distress gradually manifested as chronic physical pain.

For a long time, Kim immersed herself in her duties of fulfilling the roles and responsibilities expected of her, often sacrificing her own wellbeing and identity in the process. Her focus remained on caring and serving others while neglecting herself at a deeper soul level.

Everything changed on April 10th, 2020.

On that day, Kim recorded a message to herself and made a conscious decision to stop overriding her inner voice that had been asking for her attention for many years. What initially felt like desperation became the catalyst for a profound process of self-discovery and healing.

“It was time to stop overriding the voice that was rising up to have me pay attention, take accountability for my life’s choices and begin to make different ones” she says.

That pivotal moment marked the beginning of a journey back to her passions, desires and innate sense of self. It allowed her to honour her body, mind and spirit and rediscover what she describes as her WHOLE self.

Following her retirement in 2025, Kim explored entrepreneurship through an event planning venture. However, caring for her mother redirected her path and led her to reconnect with a fellow officer, an encounter that introduced her to Master Practitioner training. In December 2025, she earned certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnotherapy.

Drawing upon these modalities alongside holistic practices integral to her own healing, Kim developed the Sovereign Embodiment Method. Designed for women navigating life’s significant transitions, including though not exclusive to retirement, divorce, loss, career change and the empty nest experiences. The method supports and guides women to unearth old conditioning, reclaim their sovereign self-leadership and connect fully with themselves so they can begin to create the life they deeply desire.

She believes in leading through example rather than control, embracing mistakes as opportunities for learning rather than measures of personal worth.

“Failures simply provide information that allows us to adjust and try again.” she says.
Today, as she approaches sixty, Kim sees her once quiet and anxious disposition through a different lens. Rather than perceiving it as a weakness, she recognises it as a protective response developed in environments that often felt unstable or unsafe. Through reflection and self-awareness, she has discovered a sense of worth that no longer depends upon external validation and surface level treatments.

Her contributions have been recognised through honours including: the CREA Global Award 2026, her nomination for the 2026 Rising Authority Award at The Authority Awards, the 2022 Keyspire Milestone Award when she first publically shared her personal journey, and many distinguished service medals from her career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

For Kim, true freedom lies in embodying one’s that worthiness as inherent rather than earned. Her message is simple: when individuals begin to see themselves as worthy as they are it is deeply powerful. They can move beyond pain and suffering to create lives centred on peace, prosperity, and purpose.

Through her own journey, Kim Lackie offers others not a promise of success, but an invitation to embrace healing, reclaim their sovereignty and begin a more authentic relationship with themselves.
