Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Dr. Hames’ journey has been shaped by an unusually international upbringing. From Algeria to the Middle East and later the Far East, she experienced diverse cultures from an early age, developing a deep understanding of how people think, learn and adapt. These experiences nurtured what she describes as a truly global outlook and sparked a lifelong fascination with Feng Shui and the relationship between energy, environment and human wellbeing.
Her years in Singapore proved especially formative. Working with people from more than 120 nationalities while building a successful career in education, she gained invaluable insight into human behavior and motivation. Education remained a guiding principle throughout her life, inspired by her grandmother’s cherished belief that “education is always carried lightly.” Her commitment to learning eventually led her to earn a doctorate from the University of Durham, specializing in mindset and motivation, while also presenting her research at international conferences.
A profound turning point came following her recovery from a serious autoimmune disease. Determined to make the most of life and use her knowledge for the benefit of others, she channelled her expertise into entrepreneurship. Perfect Sanctuary was founded to help people create supportive and harmonious environments through Feng Shui principles. Later, after training personally with internationally renowned therapist Marisa Peer, she established Perfect Mindset and expanded her work into Rapid Transformational Therapy.
“Your life is precious, make the most of it,” she often says, a belief that sits at the heart of everything she does.
Today, Dr. Hames primarily works with women in their prime, particularly those over forty who are ready to step into a fuller expression of themselves. Many are accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders who outwardly appear successful but privately struggle with confidence, self-worth, procrastination, people-pleasing tendencies or imposter syndrome. Through RTT, she helps them identify and transform the subconscious beliefs that may be holding them back.

Her achievements reflect a career built on both academic excellence and professional innovation. She received the Sir Basil Blackwell Prize for her work in metacognition during her master’s studies at the University of Nottingham and later earned her doctorate from Durham. She holds advanced Gold Standard and Red Ribbon Feng Shui accreditations and serves on the International Board of the International Feng Shui Guild. Her recent honors include the GHP Global Health Award for Most Empowering Hypnotherapist 2026, the Brainz Magazine Global 500 Award and recognition for Perfect Sanctuary as Best Feng Shui Company 2026.
