A Beacon of Transformation for Women’s Gut Health
Charlotte Cheetham is a woman extraordinaire and a leading gut health coach specializing in gut health for menopausal women. She offers personalized, science-based programs to address common issues like bloating, fatigue, and hormonal imbalances. Her expertise is helping women improve their gut health through holistic approaches, combining nutrition, lifestyle changes, and stress management. With a proven track record of transforming clients’ health and empowering them to regain energy and confidence, she is committed to educating and advocating for women’s health.
During her formative years, Charlotte was often told she wasn’t clever enough for university and couldn’t express her opinions or celebrate her achievements. This left her introverted and lacking confidence. She mentions, “I struggled with gut health issues for much of my life until a serious gut infection landed me in the hospital. That experience drove me to change. I trained as an Advanced Gut Health Nutritional Advisor and launched a business to help women like me. Today, I’m healthy, confident, and empowered, using the knowledge I gained to control my diet and lifestyle for a better life.”
She initially qualified as a nurse many years ago, which gave her medical and biological knowledge about the gut. However, that didn’t give her the scientific evidence she needed to run her gut health business. Being ill prompted her to study with the Health Sciences Academy to gain her qualification as a Gut Health Coach. She then qualified as a Nutritional Advisor, a Life Coach, and an NLP Master Practitioner. Her qualifications and experiences studying and applying them to her practice have given her the expertise she needs to run a successful coaching business.
For Charlotte, her inspiration for being a Gut Health Coach was mainly due to being so ill herself and not wanting to go down the medical route of taking medications, which she had learned could cause more damage than good to my gut. She continues, “Learning about the gut and its science was fascinating and important to leading a healthy life. The gut and the microbiome control so many chemical reactions in all the organs in our body, and if we don’t look after the gut, we risk destroying our whole body and suffering from long-term inflammation and infection.”
She candidly discusses her social background, which made her introverted and shy growing up. She never spoke up for herself and was always afraid to stand out in society. She never enjoyed socializing with other people and missed many opportunities to expand her abilities to do more with her life and help more people heal themselves. She learned that having a voice and expressing her points of view were crucial to standing out. Being able to show that she was successful as a Gut Health Coach made her feel a sense of humility and gratitude towards her clients as she helped them to overcome their health challenges.
Charlotte balances the challenges in her profession through networking with other like-minded professionals. This allows her to get support for her business when needed. She says, “I also diarise everything to have a routine to make sure I fit in everything without becoming overwhelmed. I make sure I have time for myself every day so that I can find time for my family as well as my clients. I also give myself space at the end of each day to reflect on my day so I can go to bed with a clear mind.”
She describes herself as an approachable person willing to listen and support people. She is non-judgmental and aims to empathize with her clients, offering them the space to be themselves. Being a leader in her field, she loves to facilitate transformation with all her clients and gets a great deal of satisfaction with the successes my clients have. She always makes her clients feel at ease, giving them the confidence to express their feelings.
In 2020, Charlotte was awarded the Best Life Coach in Somerset. In July 2024, she was awarded a certificate for Best Business Verification for setting unparalleled standards in innovation, operations, and customer satisfaction. She has poured her expertise and insight, having written two articles for Healthieyoo magazine and co-authored the book “Can’t Break Me” in March 2024. She is a finalist for the Women’s Business Club awards next month. She feels elated to also co-author a book called “She Grows Stronger” to be published in March 2025 in the USA.
She shares a message for the readers: “When women lose confidence and develop an unhealthy lifestyle, they leave themselves open to many health issues resulting from inflammation in every organ in the body. Knowing what I know, I must educate every woman to help them heal their bodies. Every day, I wake up excited, knowing that I have the ability and knowledge to pass on to women so they can change their own lives. This allows them to make choices about their lives that they may never have had before, and that makes me truly grateful for the training I have had to pass on to other women.”
