Over the last decade, he has led large-scale data-driven digital transformations globally, focusing on AI-driven Master Data Management (MDM), Cloud Data Governance, and Cloud Data Quality solutions for Fortune 500 companies. A senior member of IEEE, and also, he was nominated to become a Full Member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. His nomination to this prestigious society is a testament to his exemplary contributions and noteworthy achievements as an original investigator in the field of Data and AI. He is passionate about mentoring young IT professionals, emphasising giving back to the community.
Being from Erode, a small city in Tamil Nadu, India, he moved to the US to pursue his passion for technology and strategic business management. He has a foundation in B.Tech in Information Technology from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. Afterwards, Infosys recruited him straight out of campus as a software engineer, and subsequently, he worked at Ness Technologies. His experience in Java/J2EE development for large financial services players such as UBS, American Express, and PayPal propelled him to become a seasoned MDM and Data Governance technology leader.
He then moved to the USA in 2013 and provided technical consulting services for the State of Michigan. He then pursued his Executive MBA (EMBA) at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, which is amongst the top 20 programmes in the country. This was instrumental in honing his strategic thinking and global business acumen. He also did international residencies in China and Panama, which opened his worldview to various business practices across the globe. Climbing up the ladder of success, he has sustained excellence in transformative leadership in the Cloud Data and AI space, which has significantly impacted the business and technology sectors, inspiring tech enthusiasts worldwide.
He is currently a prominent Leader at Informatica, one of the world’s leading Data and AI companies. He specialises in the Intelligent Data Management Cloud platform, which streamlines data processes across multi-cloud, hybrid environments using AI and machine learning. He highlights, “This approach generates substantial revenue and enhances customer satisfaction by delivering measurable business outcomes. My role as a trusted advisor and business development expertise has secured multi-million-dollar service contracts, generated significant revenue streams for my company, and reduced customer churn by ensuring our clients thrive in the digital age.”
Bhuvaneshkarthick nostalgically remembers his early days in the USA and says, “I started from scratch in a foreign country, managing extensive business travel to customer sites across the USA and Canada for in-person Executive stakeholder meetings, solution design workshops, conducting training, etc., and balancing work with personal life were significant challenges.”
He had to simultaneously manage a highly demanding job with business travel while pursuing a weekend EMBA program, which he did with a clear vision towards his goals. Also, he led diverse global teams across the globe, which was not a cakewalk either. He credits his success to being diligent and the infinite support of his parents, wife, and family. He is an ardent believer that staying physically fit, mentally strong, and dedicated is what drives transformative outcomes.
Sharing his ever-growing passion for technology, he states, “My passion lies in leveraging AI-driven enterprise cloud data management and integration to transform businesses. This drive was ignited during my tenure at Informatica and at other multinational companies for which I previously worked. Serving a global customer base from the USA, Canada, and Europe, I am passionate about empowering businesses to unlock the transformative power of their data, improving operational efficiency, and driving innovation.”
At Informatica, he received the Americas Delivery Management Annual Most Valuable Player Tribute Award in 2023 for being a rare visionary who epitomises innovation, excellence, and the core values that drive the company forward. He has also served as an industry expert and judge for prestigious awards like the American Business Awards, Customer Excellence Awards, Disruptor Awards, Golden Bridge Awards, and Technology Awards. He has contributed to the tech community through numerous scholarly articles on MDM and data governance, published in renowned refereed international journals.
Over his 17 years of professional endeavours, for him, leadership means fostering innovation through collaboration and trust. He wants to create leaders by encouraging experimentation, embracing a fail-fast mindset, and valuing diverse opinions. He feels regular brainstorming sessions and inclusive decision-making drive collective problem-solving and groundbreaking ideas. He mentions that being a good listener and staying focused is crucial, as it empowers team members to lead effectively and contribute meaningfully to shared goals.
