If you are looking for a way to improve your mindset, in order to become more capable of achieving success, then you came to the right place. My name is Amy Sinton, I am an award winning coach, leader, influencer – as well as a business trainer, public speaker, & columnist.
The mindset that often supports people in achieving success (no matter where they are starting from), is: goal oriented, determined, committed to achieving, confident, open to learn & make mistakes, bravery, being capable of being resilient towards (unwise) nay-sayers, growth mentality, one open to calculated risks (no danger!), one of dedication, disciplined, focused, one that is ok with being imperfect, one that is ready to work on improving, patient, consistent, working hard & ready to make sacrifices sometimes.
That is what you need, in a nutshell.
If you want to be successful in the long run, a mindset of humbleness, gratefulness, as well as grounded are key.
There are a lot of key factors that add up to the type of mindset that will make someone more prone to achieving success. The archetype of someone that is successful – usually has these traits. It applies to all genders.
You don’t have to have all of the traits and skills in order to achieve success at once. But they are necessary if you want to keep succeeding. Acting with courage or bravery, along with hard work, and determination may get someone the success that they want once or twice for example. But unless they have other factors such as resilience in terms of negative comments, discipline, focus, and of consistency – they may not be able to make things work for them in the longer run if they lack those factors of a successful mindset.
Now, what causes people to have such a mindset? Some people have them naturally, they could be learned from watching other people as they were growing up, or people that they saw or read about that inspired them. For others, these are skills that they consciously have to work on in order to develop. Most people have to unlearn certain habits or limiting beliefs in order to create a successful mindset.
There is a group of people that have a greater tendency, to give in to what others try to tell them, & make them believe. I do not mean those people that have a mindset which is more likely to succeed. They can achieve success also, or not. That group of people, are more suggestable, & can change their behaviour easily due to what others tell them. Now, in certain scenarios that can be either good, or bad. For example if someone has a dangerous idea, and they get persuaded by someone not to implement whatever their plan was that could have been dangerous – then they might avoid the danger. If on the other hand a person wants to do something that is a wonderful idea, & someone tells them that they shouldn’t do it (because for example, they don’t believe in that person, & in their capabilities) – then it could lead to stagnation, lack of growth, & lack of success in the chosen area. They might not achieve their goal if they choose to listen to someone else. And this can be very serious. This is why having a highly suggestible way of being, as well as being naive, can be for the people themselves – a very bad thing. This means that they may not fully be capable of being an independent thinker. That they are naive, easy to manipulate, & easy to abuse. This is why, when it comes to a child for example, at a certain age, they need to be able to be able to differentiate what is right & what is wrong, to be able to make their own wise decisions, & to not give into peer pressure. It is very important to learn to differentiate those people that are wise, experienced, and have your best interest at heart, versus those that don’t – when choosing who you listen to if you are seeking advice.
Changing your mindset may take a lot of time & effort. Many people manage working on this themselves – although there are certain people that may require professional support for such a task. There are many other people also – especially highly successful ones – , that prefer working on their mindset, by working with a professional – such as a coach – in order to achieve the highest quality results, as fast as possible, while becoming more self-aware during the process of working on achieving this type of a mindset. A good coach should be able to support you with this, & create more possibility for you to achieve success.
