Young and progressive, Tejas has climbed the field for 15 years and today he’s the Vice President of Data & Analytics Engineering at RxSense. He resides in Connecticut, USA.
“My inspiration comes from the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through technology, particularly in healthcare and life sciences. My goals are to continue advancing in leadership, building high-performing teams, and driving data-driven strategies that support affordable healthcare. Tejas was born and raised in Mumbai, earning his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2009. In 2013, he moved to Connecticut and worked as a contractor at General Electric headquarters, following which he joined Nuvolo as an innovation architect in 2015. Over the years, he took on increasing responsibilities, contributing to developing 35+ software products on a cloud computing platform.
During his journey across continents, Tejas has held roles ranging from developer to vice president. He specializes in Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), with 8 years dedicated to designing and leading products like Maintenance Management, Space and Facilities Management, and OT Security in regulated healthcare and life sciences environments. He has authored and co-authored 10 patents in the US for IWMS solutions. Additionally, he has 5 years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) modules and is passionate about building diverse, high-performance teams to drive successful project outcomes.
In 2023, Tejas transitioned to RxSense, where he now leads data and analytics engineering as a VP to support affordable healthcare solutions.
One of his key strengths is his ability to lead by example, combining technical expertise with strategic vision. He thrives in mentoring and empowering his team members, creating an environment where collaboration and innovation flourish. His experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects has taught him the importance of adaptability, communication, and fostering trust.
In addition, it has brought home a plethora of prestigious honours – Tejas served as a judge on Globee Business Awards in two categories: Leadership and Women in Business. He has multiple leadership certifications from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; an advanced business analytics certification from MIT Sloan Executive Education; and developer and system administrator certifications in cloud platforms like ServiceNow and Microsoft. By aligning team goals with business objectives, he ensures they deliver high-quality results, meet client needs, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Interestingly, he is also a thorough advocate of the work-life balance. “Balancing the demands of my profession and personal life requires planning and setting clear boundaries. I prioritize time management, focusing on high-impact tasks during work hours while making room for personal time to recharge. Regular exercise, mindful practices, and quality time with family help me maintain balance and stay energized. While proper workload distribution and planning help empower my teams to achieve our goals without compromising well-being. This approach allows me to remain effective both professionally and personally.”
In his personal time, Tejas loves spending quality moments with his family and friends, as they bring balance and joy to his life. One of his favorite hobbies is astronomy and observing the night sky, which allows him to relax and marvel at the universe. He also enjoys spending time in nature, whether trail walking or riding his bicycle through scenic paths. Playing badminton and cricket is another way he unwinds, as sports keep him active and energized.
As our tete-a-tete draws to a close, Tejas leaves us with some food for thought: “I believe that success is not just about technical expertise or achieving milestones — it’s about growth, collaboration, and impact. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and evolve. Surround yourself with supportive people who inspire and motivate you. Never underestimate the power of continuous learning, adaptability, and building diverse teams. Stay curious, take bold steps, and be open to new perspectives. Ultimately, it’s about making a difference, fostering growth in others, and contributing positively to the world around you. Keep moving forward.”
