Born in Visakhapatnam, Srinivas’ formative years were marked by a unique blend of experiences due to his father’s service in the Indian Navy. Frequent relocations instilled in him the invaluable ability to adapt to diverse environments—an aptitude that would later prove invaluable in his life. After completing 12th grade, he embarked on a transformative path by joining the National Defence Academy. Rigorous military training and a Bachelor’s degree in science paved the way for his commission into the Indian Navy on 1st July 1999. It was during a period of adversity, while recovering from a severe road accident, that Srinivas discovered the solace and empowerment that reading could provide.
In 2016, while representing the Indian Navy at an international civil-military course at the Naval Postgraduate School in the USA, Srinivas encountered the concepts of cryptocurrency and blockchain for the first time. Although the technology was in its nascent stages, his curiosity was piqued, and he recognized the vast potential it held. Following his retirement from the Indian Navy in July 2022, he wholeheartedly embraced the Web3 space, rapidly becoming a respected Community Leader.
Simultaneously, Srinivas noticed the remarkable growth of the Indian economy, even amidst global economic challenges. To harness these opportunities for individuals without significant business experience, he turned his attention to franchising. After receiving training from Franchise India Pvt Ltd, he embarked on a new journey as an Independent Franchise Consultant.
Srinivas’ career has been marked by dedication and perseverance. However, he has always strived to maintain a balance between his professional commitments and his family life. With responsibilities such as caring for aged parents and raising teenage children, he made a conscious effort to allocate time for his loved ones. In recent years, he recognized the importance of networking and skill-building, particularly in response to the global geopolitical challenges of 2023. To further enhance his skills and expand his network, he enrolled in the PGPMAX Executive MBA program at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. This program not only enhances his business and entrepreneurial skills but also fosters relationships with senior executives from the corporate sector.
Srinivas’ passion is to facilitate opportunities for others to participate in the remarkable growth story of India. He firmly believes that India is destined to become one of the world’s top economies, and he is committed to helping others be part of this transformation.
The COVID-19 pandemic presented its own set of challenges. During the lockdown, Srinivas was serving in the Indian Navy’s Operations center, coordinating essential services and first responders. Leveraging the available free time and following a lifelong commitment to learning, he enrolled in an online MBA course from UpGrad. This strategic move prepared him for his retirement from the Navy and allowed him to dive into the world of Web3 immediately after.
Srinivas’ strengths lie in his remarkable people skills and leadership abilities, which he has applied effectively in community management roles. His only weakness, as he candidly admits, is procrastination, stemming from the shift from a demanding Navy schedule to a more flexible retirement. To overcome this, he turned to social media, particularly Twitter, and gained over 16,000 followers by regularly producing content, despite having no exposure to social media for twenty-three years.
Throughout his career, Srinivas has earned recognition and accolades. In the Indian Navy, he received the Commander-in-Chief Commendation for ‘Devotion to Duty’ and the Chief of Naval Staff Commendation for his exceptional performance during the President’s International Fleet Review 2016. Notably, he was selected as the Opening Speaker at the ‘Dilli Series’ Sea Power Seminar in 2019. In the Web3 arena, he was honored as a speaker on the international panel, ‘Ignited Minds,’ hosted by the Metaverse Company, Etern Meta.
