With decades of global experience in strategy and planning under his belt, the dynamic Rajeeb Chowdhury has emerged as an award-winning leader in business transformation with the ‘art of value creation’. Based in Bahrain, Rajeeb is the Founder & Managing Director of Biz Excel Consulting as well as The Value Champions (leadership programme). In addition, he’s the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at AJEX Logistics, Saudi Arabia.

Some of those transformation initiatives would enable loss-making or low-growth companies to achieve market leading growth and profitability, thereby creating further job opportunities. I enjoy the ‘art of value creation’ and how to apply innovative and globally proven methods in realizing sustainable growth for businesses and development of its people. I am equally passionate about applying a ‘heart powered approach’ and going an extra mile in touching the hearts of customers, employees, and the community around me.”
Born into a middle-class family in the steel city of Bhilai, India,
Rajeeb was inspired by his father to work hard and strive for innovation and creativity. His father was a production manager at B.S.P. (Bhilai Steel Plant) and was awarded a prestigious government award by the then Prime Minister of India, P.V. Narasimha Rao, for his contribution in the field of foundry and casting technology.
Following in his illustrious footsteps, Rajeeb completed his Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal; Chartered Management Accountancy (ACMA) from CIMA London; and MBA from Henley Business School, UK.
Over a span of 3 decades, he held various senior executive roles across Tata Export Limited, NAQEL Express, and DHL Express, where he spent 19+ years based out of the Middle East, Europe (Brussels, Global Head Office) and Asia-Pacific (Singapore Regional Office). DHL proved a wonderful learning platform, where he had the privilege to work in multiple business functions and travel to over 50 countries.
It also cemented his confidence to launch his own consulting company – Biz Excel Consulting, in 2013. As a start-up entrepreneur, Rajeeb faced enormous challenges in building his credibility in the market. However, he was able to leverage his global network and past relationships to accomplish his dreams. Since then, Biz Excel has been serving various companies in the Middle East across a wide range of industrial sectors including healthcare, aviation, energy, and manufacturing.
Rajeeb is also leading business transformation for a major logistics firm in the Middle East with its head office in Saudi Arabia – AJEX Logistics, as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer.
2024 saw him launch a business transformation and leadership programme called ‘The Value Champions’. The programme aims to develop and nurture young business leaders to optimize value realization for their respective businesses.
“In today’s digital world, we are witnessing a mundane practice of attracting new followers instead of directing our focus towards excellence and setting the best practices and examples for the community around us. I find fulfillment in developing new leaders, and see my success in their success stories.”
Rajeeb feels inspired by global leaders such as Steve Jobs, Ratan Tata, Dr. Abdul Kalam, and author Jim Collins, for their unwavering pursuit of excellence. He is equally inspired by spiritual leaders from the spectrum of all religions and beliefs. He strongly holds that in order to demonstrate true value realization and excellence at work and within our wider community, we need to attain a healthy balance of both body and mind.
Something Rajeeb himself practices. During the weekend, he begins his day with meditation followed by a morning walk with his favorite pet dog. He then enjoys preparing breakfast for his wife and parents. Thereafter, he spends time in the gym and gets geared up to spend the evening with family and friends. He also watches TV and key international news channels to stay updated with world affairs – both political and business.
Sharp and suave, Rajeeb’s strength lies in his positivity, ability to read human minds, and pursue a balanced and well-structured approach towards building and mobilizing a winning team. His mantra for growth is ‘to stay humble and grounded’ while staying insanely focused on your passion and pursuit of excellence.
“Our success is often defined by our ability to learn from life’s journey, be it successful moments or failures, and never deviate from our path to excellence and end goals. I would encourage my viewers to learn the art of giving to the community and people around them. You will always get more than you give through the valuable relationships you build along the way,” he surmises with wisdom.
