Mastering Multiple Roles with Grit and Grace
In a world that often insists on a linear path, Kristin Bone, a remarkable individual, defies convention by embracing a diverse array of roles and challenges. Today, she stands as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, a Financial Professional, and a versatile Actor/Model.
How does she manage this intricate juggling act? Kristin’s philosophy is grounded in the belief in life’s possibilities. She pursued an MBA, not only to excel in nursing but also as a strategic backup plan. Her MBA has proved invaluable in her roles as a financial professional and a model/actress. Kristin possesses the skills and confidence to excel in any field she sets her sights on. She firmly rejects the notion that we must choose a single path; instead, she champions the idea of pursuing multiple interests simultaneously, demonstrating that we can be leaders in various fields and apply our knowledge to conquer new horizons.
Based in the US, Kristin earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Washburn University and her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of St. Mary’s. For 13 years, she served as a dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse while simultaneously working as a Financial Advisor. Most recently, she added Acting and Modeling to her repertoire.
“I find immense satisfaction in helping my patients as a psychiatric registered nurse,” Kristin shares. “However, I’ve never subscribed to the notion that one job can fulfill all our professional needs. I’ve diversified my career and discovered happiness, fulfillment, and excitement in modeling and acting. Each field has its unique aspects that complement and enrich my life. I never want to choose because I genuinely love everything I do. Successfully balancing dual careers has been a lifelong journey.”
Kristin has made her mark as a featured extra in Travius Keandric’s ‘Molly’ music video and played a supporting role in ‘Space Transports’ as Senator Madka. Her modeling career has seen her featured three times in ‘Fashion Republic’ magazine and showcased in fashion shows in Atlanta and Las Vegas.
Life’s hardships have played a pivotal role in Kristin’s journey. A serious injury resulting from a car accident one month after her first management job prompted a career shift to finance, as nursing was physically too difficult during this time. Later, a fall resulted in a broken capitellum and radial head, leading her to discover her love for photography and, subsequently, modeling and subsequently, modeling and acting.
“Setbacks happen, but they don’t define us. Everyone faces good and bad times, but it’s our response to the tough moments that sets us apart. Failure or rejection is just another opportunity to prove one’s ability to succeed. Success is a combination of hard work and seizing opportunities. One cannot happen without the other.”
After more than a decade in diverse industries, Kristin fully acknowledges the existence of the ‘rat race’ and embraces it with humility and determination. She has often been underestimated but remains a fierce competitor in the race, determined to stand out and excel.
With remarkable grit and grace, Kristin has carved her unique path. She is well-traveled, articulate, and empathetic, earning her a place in Who’s Who of America 2023 for nursing and entertainment, as well as recognition in Who’s Who of Professional Women.
Possessing the rare ability to connect with individuals of all backgrounds, Kristin serves as an inspiration to her 12-year-old daughter, Karissa Grace Bone, and to women everywhere seeking to expand their horizons.
Kristin’s message is one of unwavering determination: “Never abandon your dreams. Don’t let circumstances dictate your life choices; you can achieve success through perseverance and belief. It may not happen overnight, but consistent hard work will lead to success. In the face of failure, find creative solutions to reach your goals. Never fear working harder or traveling farther to live the life you’ve always envisioned.”
