Dr. Uplabdhi Singh has been making groundbreaking strides in cybersecurity for over six years. Her unflinching resolve has garnered her numerous accolades and achievements. She loves studying, learning new formulas, ideas, and concepts. Since childhood, mathematics always made sense to her and had been her refuge. It framed the way she navigated challenges. Clarity came with conversations with mentors and professionals. It solidified her belief that cybersecurity was her purpose. However, navigating this newfound pursuit wasn’t without a fog of doubt, settling in. Deciding not to be defined by insecurities, Uplabdhi persevered, pushing past uncertainty and self-doubt. Determined to expand her knowledge horizon, she travelled to Nagpur to train under Mr. Mahesh Rakheja.
Traversing through the intricate world of security wasn’t where she stopped. She was deeply intrigued to connect the dots between security and development to truly grasp the real-world impact of cybersecurity not only as a safeguard but also as a catalyst for innovation. She therefore went for training in mobile app development. Having worked for over six years and climbed the leadership ladder in a short span owing to her brilliance, she has some wonderful insights for leaders and leadership. For Dr. Uplabdhi, “Leadership isn’t about titles or authority it’s about creating impact, inspiring others, and continuously evolving. True leadership is not about standing above people; it’s about standing beside them, guiding, mentoring, and making a difference.”
At an age when many are still exploring their options, she was already forging her path launching her career at 21. She started her full-time career with Jio Platforms in 2019 and has worked relentlessly since then in the cybersecurity space. Having grown through several challenges, she left Jio Platforms as a Senior Manager. Currently, she is working with Revvity Signals, contributing to Security Operations, where she brings her expertise to strengthen Product Security and DevSecOps posture.
She believes that there are three qualities that everyone should develop, irrespective of the field they operate in: the ability to sell and present oneself, turn challenges into opportunities, and embrace change over time.
Through the highs and lows of her journey, she has come to realize that acceptance, adaptability, and patience are the lessons that shaped her the most. She believes that these challenges have not only shaped her perspective but have also strengthened her ability to lead with confidence, adaptability, and grace under pressure.
Her prowess and resilience as a leader and trailblazer in the cybersecurity space have earned her numerous accolades, including the GEC Global Woman Achiever Award, Fortune Leadership Women’s 40 Under 40, the Emerging Cyber Security Leader Award by Golden Aim Awards, and the Award of Excellence in Information Security Auditing by FCRF Summit 2025.
When talking about her inspiration who steered her to the pinnacle of success, she said that she has many role models through her journey. However, her biggest inspiration has been her parents. Observing their resilience and composure in the face of adversity taught her a valuable lesson: the importance of making sound choices.
Dr. Uplabdhi firmly believes that personal time and self-care are essential for success and well-being. She unwinds by practicing singing (riyaz). Yes, this woman wears many hats and rocks them all! She has a degree in Indian Classical Singing. At the young age of 15, she completed a 4-year Plectrum Guitar certification from Trinity University, London. She once saw music as her future, but life had a different rhythm one that led her to cybersecurity.
Besides music, she truly believes in the power of healthy eating, exercising, and keeping clutter out of her space. Once her reservoir of personal time is replenished, she ensures she engages in social stimulation by talking to family, and friends, and even meeting new people.
When asked if she has accomplished it all, she borrows from Robert Frost, saying there are still miles to go. Uplabdhi is always pushing herself to improve and thinks that learning should never end, and that age should never be a barrier.
She carries a strong message for the world, saying, “Cybersecurity, tech, leadership -these fields need more dreamers, thinkers, and doers. If my journey teaches anything, I hope it’s this: You don’t have to wait for opportunities—build your doors, create your path, and keep moving forward. Because every step you take brings you closer to something extraordinary.”
