He has been bestowed with several awards, including the Judge Globee Awards for Technology and the Best Performer Award for 2017 from the Division Chief at IMF.
Arvind started his career over 16 years ago with a passion for technology in his heart and armed with a strong engineering base. After earning a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India, he pursued a Master’s in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), India.
His first stint was at a startup, INENT Software Services, where he learned cloud technologies and implemented customer-centric platform solutions that greatly improved user interaction. This experience sparked his interest in developing end-to-end applications that create impactful user experiences.
After gaining experience as a cloud software engineer at Intalio Inc., he wanted to make a bigger impact by working on enterprise-level projects. This led him to the U.S., where he earned a Master’s in Computer Science and Management Information Systems from Bradley University, IL. After honing his skills with a second Master’s degree, he transitioned to working on enterprise applications that reach millions of users. At NextRow Inc., he led projects that improved customer engagement and financial outcomes.
Subsequently, he joined the International Monetary Fund (IMF), leading a team of 20 members in redesigning and migrating a major project. This resulted in millions of dollars in savings and increased project stability through content optimization. This role sharpened his leadership skills and deepened his Enterprise Content Management technology expertise. His technical skill set includes Java, C++, J2EE, Spring, Sling, Python, JavaScript, React, CI/CD tools, Azure, AWS, and Adobe Experience Cloud.
Currently, as an ISD Cloud Developer IV at Navy Federal Credit Union, he leads transformative projects in the banking industry. He says, “My focus on operational excellence and collaboration has led to innovative solutions that boost user engagement and support significant revenue goals. Throughout my career, I’ve strongly emphasized mentoring and promoting a culture of excellence within my teams. I ensure that knowledge sharing is a top priority so everyone can grow and succeed.”
While balancing work and personal life can be challenging most of the time, he handles this by effectively managing his time and prioritizing his tasks, which he feels are the key to success. He says, “Delegating or postponing less urgent tasks can prevent burnout, but it’s essential to consider how this might also affect personal life. My flexible work schedule allows me to handle some responsibilities during off-peak hours, ensuring I can be available for my family when they need me most.”
Arvind’s leadership is visionary and empowering, and he focuses on setting a clear long-term vision while encouraging team members to take ownership of their work. He says, “My leadership approach, dedication to driving meaningful change, and commitment to creating an inclusive and innovative work environment position me as a role model for future tech leaders. I am committed to inspiring others and driving positive change within the tech industry.”
When it comes to personal time, he limits work emails and calls outside of business hours to minimize work stress and prioritize his personal life. He thinks personal time is essential for anyone’s mental and emotional well-being. He also likes to spend quality time with his family and kids, and he occasionally hangs out with friends who help him recharge and keep him up to date while maintaining that balance.
He shares a message with our readers: “Growth is a continuous journey; neither it has a finish line nor a dead end. Real learning happens when you step out of your comfort zone. Think of learning to ride a bike or swim—it’s uncomfortable at first, but pushing through that discomfort shapes us to prepare for the next level. The lessons you gain early on become the foundation for your Growth. Collaboration with others is crucial, as hearing different viewpoints makes us stronger and sparks new ideas. Lead with empathy by understanding others’ experiences and building a supportive environment. Prioritize your well-being by finding time for what brings you joy, and stay true to your values because they build trust. Every step forward shapes your Growth and your positive impact on others.”
