In a world where leadership is often measured in titles and milestones, Amar Sidhu stands apart because his philosophy is rooted in people, not positions. With more than three decades of experience leading multi-national teams and transforming large organizations, he represents a model of leadership defined by clarity, integrity, and service. “My candidacy for this title is less about personal achievements and more about how I’ve led people and organizations,” he says. “If my story resonates, it’s because it reflects perseverance, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving others.”

Born into a hardworking immigrant family, Amar’s earliest lessons came from watching resilience and humility play out at home. These values shaped his worldview and laid the foundation for a career built not on ambition alone but on the desire to uplift others. “My journey has been shaped by people more than positions,” he shares, recalling how relationships and grounded upbringing influenced his leadership ethos.

Across 33+ years, Amar has led large, diverse teams in the Financial Services, HR, and multinational sectors, driving operational transformations, improving customer experience, boosting productivity, and strengthening sales outcomes. His leadership path spans respected organizations including RBC Financial Group, Scotiabank International, YPG, and ADP, where he rose through senior ranks from VP to EVP. His work consistently showcased a deep ability to convert complexity into clarity. “At the heart of my portfolio is a belief that great performance comes from highly engaged people supported by simple, effective systems and humble leaders.”

After retiring from corporate leadership, Amar co-founded E3Performance, a people and performance consulting organization dedicated to helping leaders and teams excel. Remarkably, within its first full year, the firm crossed the seven-figure revenue mark. The company today partners with organizations to uncover opportunities, elevate culture, and create measurable impact. “I continue to strengthen culture, elevate performance, and develop leaders at every level,” he says of his work as CEO.

For Amar, inspiration comes from witnessing growth, both individual and collective. “I’m inspired by transformation, watching people and teams achieve more than they believed possible,” he says. Guided by the resilience and gratitude inherited from his immigrant roots, he now focuses on expanding E3Performance’s reach while mentoring emerging leaders. His long-term goal is simple yet profound: to leave people better than he found them.

Amar identifies clarity, consistency, and empathy as his core strengths. He is known for simplifying complexity, setting direction, and building confidence within teams. “If we commit, we must deliver,” he asserts, reflecting his relentless follow-through. Yet he openly acknowledges his own evolution. “My weakness is that I can be overly invested in outcomes… I sometimes take on too much because I want everyone to succeed.” Learning to step back, delegate, and create space for others has strengthened his leadership.
He describes his leadership style as collaborative and disciplined. “I lead by example, combining high expectations with support, guidance, and empathy,” he says. Consistency, open communication, and celebrating both progress and learnings are central to his approach. Ultimately, he strives to build trust and inspire capability.

For Amar, balance is intentional. “Balance isn’t perfection but a continuous adjustment,” he explains. He prioritizes boundaries, meaningful engagement, and dedicated time for family, reflection, and growth. To unwind, Amar turns to golf, a lifelong passion, and enjoys reading, exploring new cuisines, and spending quality time with loved ones. These moments, he says, “help me reset and return to work energized.”

Amar’s career is decorated with achievements, including:

●Progression to senior executive roles at RBC, Scotiabank, YPG, and ADP

●Keynote speaker roles at major conferences including IQPC Call Centre Week (New York), GTACC, ICSA, Frost & Sullivan MindXchange, and Voice of Customer events

●Leadership of major diversity and community initiatives, from volunteering with not-for-profits to completing a 430-km Boston-NYC charity bike ride

●Coaching youth basketball, mentoring visible minority young leaders, and serving as United Way Chair for Edmonton & Capital Region

●Achieving the highest recognition at RBC, a 7-day Caribbean cruise, along with leading a 3,000+ employee organization to earn Great Place to Work certification

●Growing a Philippines-based team from 2,000 to 3,000+ employees in 12 months and making significant contributions to employee engagement literature

Every milestone reflects a career grounded in service and impact.

To emerging leaders, Amar offers timeless advice, “Show up consistently, seek out opportunities to learn, and invest in the growth of others. Success is measured not just by outcomes, but by the people you lift and the culture you help create.”
Driven by humility and purpose, Amar Sidhu embodies what it means to be a leader worth looking up to in 2025 and far beyond.
